Color Guidance

Color is the foundation of personal style. When your colors are right, getting dressed feels easier, shopping becomes more intentional, and your overall look feels more natural — not forced.

At NW Style & Image, color guidance is designed to help you understand which colors truly work for you, so you can stop guessing and start dressing with confidence.

Why Color Guidance Matters

Color influences how you’re perceived and how you feel in what you wear. However, many people are unsure which tones actually support their natural features.

With professional color guidance:

Virtual color guidance may be discussed on a limited, case-by-case basis; however, in-person color draping provides the most accurate and valuable experience.

Every session is designed to remove confusion and replace it with clarity.
Whether you’re refining your everyday wardrobe or preparing for a specific event, this is practical, personalized guidance focused on what truly works for you.

Northwest Style & Image sessions are personalized, one-on-one consultations focused on clarity, confidence, and practical direction.

Depending on your goals, your session may include:

  • Professional color analysis and draping
  • Fit and proportion guidance
  • Wardrobe direction and styling refinement
  • Focused personal style recommendations
  • Brief makeup color and placement review (using your own products, when appropriate)

Appointments are scheduled in 60-minute time blocks for planning purposes. Session length may vary depending on your needs. Payment reflects the consultation experience and expertise provided — not simply the clock.

Color analysis identifies the undertone and contrast that naturally harmonize with your features. Using professional fabric drapes and structured palettes, we assess how different tones affect clarity, brightness, and balance.

Clients often see immediate differences between colors that enhance and colors that distract.

When your colors align, everything becomes easier — from shopping to daily dressing.

During a color draping session, brief makeup guidance may be incorporated when time allows. For more detailed instructions, a dedicated makeup consultation may be scheduled separately.

Sessions may include:

  • Everyday makeup application
  • Special occasion refinement
  • Eye and blush placement
  • Face shape balance and contour guidance
  • Skin-prep considerations
  • Practical techniques designed for your lifestyle

Makeup should complement your face at any age — not overpower it. The goal is harmony, balance, and confidence.

Personal Color Palette (Optional)-$55.00

Clients may purchase a physical color palette to take with them when shopping.

Having your palette on hand helps you:

  • Shop with confidence

  • Choose clothing and fabrics more easily

  • Make better online purchases

  • Build a cohesive wardrobe over time

Many clients find this to be one of the most useful tools long after their session.
